TAMMY'S JOURNEY

TAMMY L. BOLTON

CO-FOUNDER, THE PINK FROG FOUNDATION

In 1997, at the age of 32 and with no prior family history, Tammy was diagnosed with aggressive inflammatory breast cancer.  Turning to God, her family and friends, Tammy prepared herself for what she imagined would be one of the most challenging journeys of her life.

After chemotherapy, a radical mastectomy and radiation, she survived and is living cancer-free.  Having endured this intense treatment with her lifelong friend and caregiver Robert H. Bolton by her side, Tammy embarked on a new journey. This time it would be down the aisle and over the broom, as she happily accepted Robert’s marriage proposal on her last day of radiation treatment. The two were joined in holy matrimony on November 15, 1998.

Now as a family, the two began to explore the possibility that due to cancer treatment they may not be able to have children. But once again, God had another plan.  Tammy and Robert were blessed with a precious baby girl—Micah Brinai on October 30, 2000.

In celebration of Tammy’s 10th anniversary of survivorship, she had breast reconstruction surgery.  Tammy often accepts speaking engagements to share her testimony with others. Tammy and her husband Robert, founder of R.H. Bolton, Inc. (www.rhboltoninc.com) a thriving public relations and event management firm based in Atlanta, have produced several special events to raise funds to help find a cure for breast cancer.

In 2012, Tammy and her husband Robert decided to start The Pink Frog Foundation to help in the fight against breast cancer.  The foundation’s mission includes providing support to breast cancer patients.
